  Wireless at the Library

The Surrey Township Public Library (STPL) is pleased to offer a free public HotSpot for wireless connectivity.

How To Connect

  •   Users will need a notebook/laptop or other wireless device with 802.11b or 802.11g wireless network capabilities

  •   If you are unsure of your equipment's functionality, please contact the manufacturer of your equipment.  Library staff is unable to assist you in this matter

  •   We have tried to make wireless access as available as possible in our library, but you may encounter some "dead" spots where wireless reception is limited.  The best remedy for this situation is to re-locate to another area in the library.

WiFi Policy

  •   The wireless access we offer is unfiltered.  By choosing to use this free service, you agree to abide by the library's Internet Access Policy.  This policy states the limitations of Internet access, your responsibilities for using that access, and provides examples of acceptable and unacceptable uses.

  •   By their very nature, wireless hotspots are not secure.  Information sent to and from your notebook/laptop or other wireless device may be captured by anyone with a wireless device and the appropriate software.

  •   STPL staff is unable to provide technical assistance.

  •   By using this service, you explicitly agree that the library and/or its staff are not responsible for any loss or damage to your data, software, or hardware.  You also agree that STPL is not responsible for changes to your device configuration, security, or data files from our WiFi connection.

  •   There is no guarantee that you will be able to make a wireless connection.
